Hi everyone.

Anyone tried any of the Open207 ARM developments boards?
Here's a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Open207Z-P-B-STM32F207ZGT6-STM32F207-STM32-ARM-Development-Board-Kit-13-Modules-/261006271570?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc52fa452
They seem very interesting but I would like to know what is on the CD or even better if someone could share the CD.
I'm especially interested to know if there are supporting c code for all the perifials that comes in the package and also if there is a complete demo for them all (definitely not needed but it would be a nice bonus).

Thanks in advance
/Jimmy

Hi Pickit2.

I don't quite understand your post. Are you saying it's expensive?
I already have some simpler dev. boards (explorer types) but I'd like to try the use of external RAM and ROM.
Also if there is usable code for initializing and using all the peripherals in the package that would be worth a lot more than the price they're asking for.
I'm considering adding the STM32 family to the flora of CPUs I already use professionally at work (mostly PICxxs,AVRs, som e8051 derivatives).

Programmers can be had quite cheap, fex. the st-link v2 is'nt expensive at all and there are cheap clones from china of the u-link and j-link ones.

Anybody have these boards and is willing to share the CD contains and maybe a short review?

TIA

Hi Ichan.
According to ebay (and other sites on the net) it's all included.
I just got a mail from waveshare with a directorylisting of the support CD and it seems the demo code is in English also.
So I'll probably order a kit.

I'm still interested in hearing from anyone who's tried it though.

Kind regards

I migrated to the stm32 last summer.   I actually got a kit smilar to the one in your link. Open407V-D from the same vender.
I got mostly the same parts u r looking to buy.  The kit included a CD with all the source code, some explained in english.
all examples are written for Kiel 4.xx .  I found this kit very useful for learning  the Stm32F407VG.   There is tons of support, but get used
google translate lol.

I think WaveShare has the right idea... quality stuff, but a little on the high side for cost.

If your interested in getting into the STM32 series, I'd skip over the '207 and go for the '407.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/STM32F407-STM32-Cortex-M4-Development-Evaluation-Board-Camera-3-2-LCD-16-Kits-/261063811772?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc89da2bc

or

but the one that really trips my trigger is...

Hope you find something.
