Can some knowledgeable person please tell me how I can hide links? I would like to make some things available only to Sonsivri members and not to the whole wide world. This is done for instance in the Elektor thread by putting the link into a hidden text file but I don't know how to add the text file to a post so that only members can see it.

Thanks for any advice!

I understand that I have this option is not available in the forum, but you can place the link or content in a text file and attach it in the message.

*The option to attach is used to protect links or content of non users.

When posting, look for the 'Additional options' to the bottom left of the message entry box. Click the plus, and you will see the 'Attach' option. Browse to your text file and attach it.

Note: you must go to the full message entry screen, not the quick-reply box at the bottom of the thread, to get the additional options bit.

You can see the rules on http://www.sonsivri.to/forum/index.php?topic=7494.0 at point 23.
But of course here are some different opinions about how to share you useful links
For example see http://www.sonsivri.to/forum/index.php?topic=526.msg131278#msg131278 red text.
So I think you can share your links in atachement ONLY for Sonsivri peoples or by PM internal service.

When compose your forum message you can see in left-bottom page this text +Additional Options...
just click on that text and you can attach any file to your message
