Note	I have retired from a lifetime in electronics.  I worked principally in the analogue field, from d.c. through h.f., v.h.f. and u.h.f.  Was 22 years with Racal travelling the world solving problems, teaching, demonstrating, repairing and advising.  Four years resident in Ecuador teaching their technicians and and acting as technical assessor.  Four years as Technical Manager in Chile.  For the last couple of years I was in their development laboratory.  I was previously a Radio Officer in the British Merchant Navy for a few years.  I'm a licensed, but not active, amateur radio operator. I also was the first person to ever transmit television in the Falkland Islands with self-built equipment.   I can bring experience, knowledge and expertise to this forum. I generally answer questions which interest me and usually ignore questions which I could answer but don't interest me.
