Latest HiTech Picc compilers for linux

You will find in this archive the following C compilers from HiTech:

picc-9_81-linux
picc-18-pro_9.65-linux
dspicc-std_9.61.7111-linux

By default they are installed in the /usr/local/hitech directory.
If you want to move them elsewhere make sure to edit the 'htsoft.xml'
file to reflect these changes. Once you've finished editing copy
this file to '.htsoft.xml' in your home directory (mind the dot).

Add the relevant /usr/local/hitech/*/bin directories to your PATH
and start using the compilers.

I haven't modified the activation licenses but I've patched the
binaries to always return the same MAC address and never expire
(so you can use these licenses forever).

Archive extract  to /usr/local/hitech...  . Copy htsoft.xml to /home/user/  rename it to .htsoft.xml.

Ubuntu 10.10; followed all instructions but got same result as previous post.

Looked inside htsoft.xml and saw expiration date 17th March 2011 which obviously wasn't overcome by the patch.

Also compared your files with originals and detected your patches. Would you please post specifically what you were trying to achieve with the patches and how you were proposing to overcome the activation, if this isn't asking too much
