Nice work, but almost nothing useful for us. There are lot of more complete designs. I'm using usbasp for long time with great succes
For opening MAX file you need "OrCAD INC., Layout Database V9.20". It's the first thing you see when you open file with viewer.
this is probably source of design

AVRISP MKII (original from ATMEL) costs about 30 Euro and programs all AVR's. I don't think is a good idea to make one ourselfs...

Just my 2 cents...

 or
DB09 Female to RJ4508 Adapter Gray (http://www.iec-usa.com/cgi-bin/iec/DB09F-RJ4508)

Hello to all.
This is really a nice project. I already make it. It work fine. Now I have a problem. In our market the ATmega8 chip is un available, I can collect ATmega8L chip. ATmega8L doesn't support more than 8MHz clock. Now what should I do. I want to make this Programmer by ATmega8L.
Thanx.

I am using ATmega8L 8PU chip in my personal USBasp and is working fine with 12 Mhz crystal.
