Design will depend on your current requirements and whether 1 or 3 phase power.
Will also depend on the frequency or frequencies of EMI you need to attenuate and
how much attenuation is needed.

Please provide more information.

Look inside PC PSUs, you will find good examples. There are 2 versions, one that comes soldered directly to the inlet socket, the other comes assembled on the main PCB, but still you can tell this is the filter.

Single phase 2 Amp. Is there a generalised filter?

 Mouser for 120 volt 1 phase medical is about 4 dollars us . Medical is spec'ed at low leakage current same price as reg . If you look at the data sheet  you will see the specs.
