An effort to put up Construction projects published in Electronics For you Magazine will be done here in this thread regularly. If any other member too has any access to any construction articles from the magazine, is most welcome to post it here. All articles will include schematics, full articles with PCB layouts and codes. Thus material whatever available from the magazine will be posted here, and these are not my projects. Any claims about its non working or discussions about the same may be continued on the regular discussion forums. This thread will be exclusively for posting projects only. 1. Microcontroller based water level controller with LCD
Many a times we forget to switch off the motor pushing water into the overhead tank (OHT) in our households. As a result, water keeps overflowing until we notice the overflow and switch the pump off. As the OHT is usually kept on the top most floor, it is cumbersome to go up frequently to check the water level in the OHT.
Here’s a microcontroller-based water- level controller-cum-motor protector to solve this problem. It controls ‘on’ and ‘off’ conditions of the motor depending upon the level of water in the tank. The status is displayed on an LCD module. The circuit also protects the motor from high voltages, low voltages, fluctuations of mains power and dry running.

Remote-controlled 6-Camera CCTV Switcher
Here is a Microcontroller based remote-controlled CCTV switcher circuit to monitor six cameras on a single or dual monitor/TV. The original project is designed so that the audio is routed to a separate audio amplifier, and two RCA jacks are given for 2 video outputs. But as a fact that every TV or monitor will have an A/V input, one of the output may be connected to audio whereas other to the video output. All source codes are included in the file.

Pulse counters are widely used in our day-to-day life. Almost all museums and theatres have a visitor counter installed at entry/exit to measure the visitor traffic. In industries, counting is done for production control. Market tests too are performed by counting the sold goods.
