How much serial port could drive another serial port receiver?
1 TXD to some RXD in parallel?

MAX 232  has  Output Short-Circuit Current = 10mA (9V)

input has  5Kohm ,  every input absorbe  9/5000= 1.8mA

total rxd is  10/1.8 = 5

It all depends if you are stuck with fixed hardware (a PC or similar) or if you are able to throw additional hardware at it.

You could use fixed direction RS485 transmitters and receivers (and cabling) to increase that to 32, or 64...
