Hi,
Does anyone has documentation about Semiconductor Analyzer like :
http://www.m3electronix.com/features.html
or
http://www.mwinstruments.com/AS4002/AS4002_f.html

the first product seems to be better.

That's only the documentation from the site. Is the same thing as :

http://www.mwinstruments.com/AS4002/AS4002_assembly_f.pdf

Firmware is needed ! By the way, is any chance to read the firmware from pic even it has the protection bites set ?

If it is copy protected, protection byte set, there is no way to read it.

I have this one ( http://www.elektor.com/magazines/2005/april/sc-analyser-2005.57517.lynkx ), from Elektor and it works very well.
Here ( http://www.4shared.com/file/24701676/e086b986/SC-ANALYSER-2005.html ) you can download the schematic and the firmware.

Excellent project, does anyone have a good quality scan of the elektor article, particularly the pcb layout.
It would be good to attempt to make up a pcb from the artwork scan.
It was in the April 2005 Elektor but the rapidshare copy is not sharp enough to print an artwork from
Anyone?

Hi friends,
 I did this circuit assembly.
However, the PIC can not upload the hex file. Line 1025 is an error !! . .
Waiting for help if you have friends who managed the installation.

Best Regards
Safak.

With  it being a Elektor project, I would say check to see if any errors were reported in the few months after April 2005.
Looking at the project pages the only thing I could see, that may cause problems is the configuration fro the programer.
osc = RC mode, wdt = off and so on, get this wrong and you may get the error reported by you.

You could check this project out in proteus, also you could have supplied some more infomation, as to programmer, and what files you tried.

Use search for >> SCA2005 or just goto

Here is another circuit http://www.mikrocontroller.net/articles/AVR-Transistortester in German. I test it, works fine and accurate!
There is everything: Circuit, PCB, Firmware. In forum of the site for that topic have newer firmwares and PCBs.

All necessary files about project from mikrocontroller.net can be found here http://frickelpower.bplaced.net/ctest/
There are several languages and contents to download.
Works fine with all supported components!

Hi,

It  is possible to download a compressed file from http://frickelpower.bplaced.net/ctest/ .

But there seems a problem when you try to open file. There is an "unexpected end of file" error. The downladed file is corrupted and does not contain any *.hex file.

Regards...

Hi everybody,

Both of us are correct.

If I use Internet Explorer 8 using Windows XP, probably due to some settings, I download file but cannot open it.

I I use Google Chrome, everything is OK and can download and unzip all the files without any error.

Is there this tool using PIC? Is there any PIC base ?

It's hard for me to use atmel ... expensive, hard to get sample ( maybe imposible, tried many time but just waste my time)

Tq.

You can try to port the ATMEL code to PIC. Since it's in C-code it should be very simple.
Just the basic hardware functions must be replaced by those of the PIC controller.
