PIC C Compilers for PIC16 and PIC18.
These are not as popular as other PIC C compilers but some reviews say the generated code is well optimized.
I havent tested them yet. Download them here:

After some quick tests:
-code size comparable to an unoptimized hitech picc code
-not mature, lot of bugs, released too soon for a commercial software
-tries to keep C code compatibility with hitech PICC
-has some limitations (like no function pointers)

Hi,
Though i did`nt tested this particular compiler throughly but gave it a try last month...it seems to be good compiler developed with some pic architecture specifics in mind....still its a unmatured product. So just out of curosity i tried my hands on this compiler as my first cracking job...following disassembly code i found that trial period can be reseted by just erasing a key in registry...compiler on every fresh install makes a key in registry...and there keeps time/day information...deleting it resets the trial period....this is my first ever hobby cracking job..so please give it a try... Smiley

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Teehalt"  under this delete binary value named "Time6"

enjoy Wink...every time u delete above value...timer will reset

Lupik PIC16 and PIC18 Keygen

Run compiler with '-l' switch to register.

Tested with:
Lupik PIC16 C compiler v2.11

I'm the guy who made the Lupik compilers, and would like to have a word.
First of all: KCSOFT - you claim that the compilers are buggy. I would be very interested in the nature of those bugs. Perhaps you could visit my site embuddy.se and mail me a report of these bugs, so that I may have a chance to do something about them. My beta testers - that is, my friends - havent found a bug for a long time, so in my opinion Lupik is stable enough.
Secondly: What is the criteria for a "mature" software? I explicitly states in my homepage, that it started out as a hobby project, which grew into more and more ANSI-like proportions.  The pricing is only a fraction of other brands such as Hitech, CCS and the rest. The important thing is that it produces code of acceptable quality. I have measured it against Hitech's optimized code and Lupik usually gets beaten with -1 to 5 percent, when it comes to code size, and that's good enough for most people.
Finally, in order to make people know about the Lupik compilers, I have decided to be rather liberal with what you can do, without a license, several processors are free, or have a code size limitation to one or two Kwords.

This is been really nice seen one person who made it and can be "I have decided to be rather liberal what you can do, without a license".
I think each one here will always Buy licence if they really like the software and going to use it professionally.

Mr Lupik I wll surly test this compiler for you and let you my result.

Mr Lupik, if you are really the compiler's author, prove it by correcting the last sentence on your home page. Change the word "with" to "to". "The pricing is very attractive, compared to other brands."

Until this is corrected I'll assume you're just one of the 20 million other people online masquerading as someone else. Correct it and gain my respect and attention.

Thank,'s FriskyFerret. I'm a Swede, and Lupik is a Swedish compiler. If you find more bad english on my site, I would be glad if you notified me!

Henrik:  Perhaps you could add a forum to your site where people could discuss bugs, features they'd like to see, etc.  Nothing better to shake bugs out of software like public discussion.

You might also want to add instructions on how to use you compiler with some IDEs, including microchip's IDE.

I didnt sign up for a lupik tester but here is an example.
Trying to compile a simple code
Code:
#include "16F877A.H"
void main(){ }
It fails to compile due to errors in the header file!
1. missing ";"
2. redeclared identifier

This gives some clue about the maturity of the compiler.
>silly bugs still present
>the compiler has not been tested <-you need to build some automatic test process

I'm sure there are sonsivri members/visitors from Labcenter (or other big companies), I wonder why they never talk free about their products....
You need to redesign your website. You are not in the google's top 10 for "pic compiler" or at least for "lupik". You'll have to make some SEO.

My review of your compiler is as objective as it gets, do not feel offended. I know how hard is to code a compiler (I have some background), and you have my appreciation for this.
I think this tools will not succeed as commercial compilers. They came too late for a pic compiler competition. They dont bring anything new to stand up with.
