I would like to know your opinion on this.

1) I think both compilers are good. No big difference in hex generation.
2)Keil is faster in support for the new chips.
3)Keil simulates a lot more chip peripherals.

What's your experience?

1 - Keil is owned by ARM and their flagship product is for ARM cores
2 - IAR produce a range of products for different cores
3 - Keil have access to all details about ARM cores (because of #1)
4 - IAR could be classed as 'jack of all trades, master of none'
5 - The Keil TCP/IP sack offering is (to be polite) a little quirky

Oh ... Finally, I've had to contact the sales and support teams of both companies, and I think Keil were very much more professional and helpful.

I, for one, think I will stick with Keil all the time I'm working with ARM.

Yes may be Keil doing only limited cores but support is good, with in short time they will correct bugs if there is any..

Simulation also.... helps a lot to get the product soon.

I feel Keil is better for ARM and C51 cores..
