Hi folks,

i look for a cheap way to sensor the elevation ( inklination )  and the direction ( aziuth ) of an antenna system  with some sensor like the one found in newer GSM Phones. Does anyone have a cheap (´and low quantity ) source , any schematics or such .. ??

Potentiometer with a long shaft & weight hanging on it makes simple elevation sensor.  Cheap, fairly reliable.
Az can be sensed with another pot or an absolute rotoary.

but ..  we have such , milspec pot with ceramic/plasic trace and a weight. It works..until it gets real cold..then it is stuck..
thus we look for something non moving...

OK, how about an accelerometer for EL?

Gravity can still provide your reference, but nothing to stick at low temperatures.
