This project was published by the german magazine ELV about 10 years ago .
Its a switchmode labsupply regulating from 0 to 30 Volt and upto 20 Ampere with voltage and current regulation .
Being a SG3525 fullbridge it can continues deliver 600 Watts at an efficiency upto 90 % .
Only minus is that the article is in German ,but the project is to good not to put it here just for the language .
Being a labsupply its complete with meters based on the icl7106 .

http://rapidshare.com/files/216056403/030v-020a_power.pdf .

Little note about safety .
For testing they advise to use a 1000 Watt separation transformer .
Always be carefull when working with mainsvoltage ,

Hi,
Good one but the overall system looks bulky and old but very reliable. Display system with LCD and Microcontroller is preferable now a days. Can be taken as a basis for making modern and slick one.

Its a schema from the late 90's .
On the other hand full projects for switch modes are rare .
You can find 1000 datasheets ,but the amount of good designs complete with pcb ready to build is quite small .
Making a nice new interface for it is indeed a good idea .
Lcd meters ,usb for measuring i think your imagination is the only limit .

Hi all,

Is there any way to translate this good project in the English Language. Thank you.
Maybe you can copy paste the text to some online german to english translator .
(or download some decent translating software ,i use that for polish electronics magazines etc.)
As far as i know the ELV is only published in Germany and there are no english versions printed .

I didn't find any details on the winding of the ferrite transformers TR101, TR102, and TR103 as well as the transformer TR104... Without those details the project is not good for DIY construction.

Hello kreutz,
I have just read this article for the first time. On its first page it says that you could submit your questions per mail to: ELV Herrn Trotte Postfach 1000 D - 26787 Leer.
