Hi,
I have a project that could use this tone detector chip for detecting a 16 KHz subscriber pulses on telephone line. I was thinking of using a LM567 but while analyzing a different opinions on the web I have seen a lot of different opinions on LM567. Some says it is good and some say that it is unstable and prone to errors. In the meantime I have seen that National has updated LM567 and made LMC567 which is not just a CMOS part but has double center frequency in VCO which gives better and more stable operation.
I would like to have some first hand experience from somebody that have used either of this IC for similar things.
I know that there is a CMLMicro part which is specially designed for subscriber metering but CMX631A is hard to obtain and expensive.

Thank you
