I want DIY programmer to program this serial flash

Does pony prog support this chip?

Hi,
yes you can use pony prog to program it. If you are going to use 25AA080A/B then its better to use pickit2. You can build your own pickit2 easily. I searched a lot in the net to program a 25AA080A as ponyprog failed and atlast i made the pickit2 without voltage 13v charge pump circuits and used it. So its better to go behind pickit2. First I will try pony prog (it is cheap & easy)

If it is not possible then I will try pickit2

Pony prog dont work. Because there is no option for that

A25L080 is 8M serial flash. Serial eeprom supported by pony prog is only 8kb.

There is no such DIY programmer as i searched around the net.

If any one does it before please let me know
