Kang2008,

Power Down Mode for AVR is a power saving mode in which the processor is put to "sleep". That is, the program is halted and the external oscillator is halted but timers and interrupts are still active.

An internal or external interrupt is used to wake the processor up form this state and resume normal operation.

This is the deepest form of "sleep" mode for an AVR. The "Idle" mode is similar except that less functions are halted.

Cheers,
Alspa

Sorry, but AVR timers don't working in Power Down mode! The single exeption is watch-dog timer.
And single kind of interruption is level interruption INT0, INT1 (from high to low only).

With best regards,
