Hi

I got it all guys !!

But there is a problem any way....

A friend built it, when installed the software, and connected the programmer to his PC, the software asked for a license !!

I have the software & firmware, along with eagle design files, if any is still interested, let me know...

Hi, im working on usb based w@rp13. it is all usb powered design based on ft232bm usb to com bridge chip. I thing that it will be a good ICSP picstart replacement. I got stable communication with mplab 7.20 but I have not programmed any pic’s yet … I have not much time to spend on this right now …

I have last free firmware 1.6 (g) here you are ..

Did someone try to disassemble firmware? I got quite messy asm output file and reassembled hex did not work. I’m trying to invert RS232 pins logic. This will eliminate the need of hardware invertors after /..and smaller PCB../ FT232BM USB<>COM bridge. It would be nice for my USB powered ICSP warp.

The .sch file you can open with Eagle, it's the schematic file; and it works with all pics as claimed (i'd tested all 16XXX and 12XXX except 18XXX)

One at the to is a push to make button (restets the programmer)
the one at the bottom is the round black thing) is a 1.5amp bridge rectifier

hope this helps

I confirm what Wizpic said.... the reset is indicated on the PCB and the I/P voltage is 12 v AC , so the rectifier is needed …

A lot of info about WARP13A can be found in this page ..

First, my appologies for forgetting the password and my thanks to picstart who posted it.
The password is "pl4tonas"

About the hex file, sorry but I dont have anything newer than 1.6j.  I think there is no 1.7 available yet.

When something comes to my hands I will try to post it.  In case I forget again the password, this sould be tha same as before.
For those that I caused inconvinience, please forgive me.

I built this programmer using the pcb/schematic  posted in this thread. But I'm getting lot of program errors after I burn a hex file. Also the red LED isn't glowing- btw when is it supposed to glow?

Thanks kevin for latest hex file.
What about my problem...if anyone has any idea:confused:

Please!!!

I used the same pcb but without the extra ground copper ! does it make any difference.

Btw the input is 16v in some circuits and 12v in others...??!!

hi, picstart

If you use the same pcb , check components.

Some pcb uses 12v AC with bridge rectifier (12*1.414=17v)  other pcb uses 16-18 VDC.
At 7805(pin3) you must have +5V. (for pin20 of f252)
At 7815(Pin3) you must have +15V

I don't have the USB version. but I've seen it somewhere. It's just basically another circuit using the ftdi usb chip to replace the max232 circuit.
Anyway here's the bluepole 1.7.a firmware. Hope this would help someone.

Hope i've helped.

No Warp13a is not a parallel port programmer but a serial port one.

To see what are its features you can go to:

Code:
www.newfoundelectronics.com

where is the site of the manufacturer.

The page is not accessible (www.newfoundelectronics.com) it give an error "403 Forbidden", You don't have permission to access / on this server.

It seems that either is closed down or a password is needed.

Anyway the firmware is in my Rapidshare folder (Blu3p0le 1.7a) as is the latest executable of the software (w a r p 13 O version)

I will lockate the setup file of the software and upload it some time later.

Hello,

Seems there is a new site in place of the old one.

Warp-13a seems to be discontinued, check:

http://www.dontronics.com/newfound.html

I like this programmer, only snag it is serial - based.

The programmer is mature with almost no problems, and you

can easily build a clone.

Cheers.

Built a parallel port based one long ago.  Warp was good with the integration into mplab.  Any experience with MElabs U2?  Uses a USB interface instead of serial and no external ps.
