Is there any software to simulate a brushless dc motor designed by me?

Hi MicroKid,

I find your project interesting. Can you share some ideas, books or papers? I will be grateful.

What I want to know is how you can calculate from motor power rating or torque rating given:

1) Volume of Permanent Magnet required?
2) No. of Poles of Permanent Magnets suitable?
3) No. of stacks of CRNO stampings required and its size selection for motor frame (ie 56, 63, 71, 80 etc. etc.)?
4) No. of turns of magnet wire you need per slot in stator to get flux density (generated by stator phase current) opposing equivalent comparable to Permanent Magnet flux density?
5) Permanent Magnet Flux density and Flux Air gap assumptions?

Thanks in advance with regards,
