PICKIT2 from microchip they arecheap to buy, or do a search and you will get the info to build your own even have a look on google

Built a parallel port based one long ago.  Warp was good with the integration into mplab.  Any experience with MElabs U2?  Uses a USB interface instead of serial and no external ps.

am using Winpic800 summer version and is working very great and it supports most of the pic chips am usinf.. the only problem in this version is I2C eeprom programming not working properly.. apart from that very best USB programmer. am using in my laptop also without any problems.
