I build one hardware using AT89S52 and use serial communication to control GSM modem

Now my question is, I want to monitor the data which I send from AT89S52 and also received data from GSM modem to my PC

for that purpose I build simple Y cable but it can't work.

please help me to build the cable.

Do you have max 232 or similiar chip for level conversion? Rs 232 data in pc side is +-12V
