I did a job that used 6 of these to sense temperatures of various bearings:

Available with 0-5V output, convenient for input to ADC of a PIC.

Beware:  Different colors paint on the same piece of metal can give seriously different temperature readings.

I always want to know why I want to DIY every thing ?? ask myself many times. but no result.
