For Example:
Remote control of computer for Windows - try to control your computer by commercial infrared remote contol (for TV, VCR, CD ...)
IgorPlug-USB - simple and cheap universal USB device or infra remote control connected to USB (like serial version)

yes, it's nice project from igor, i've try his device with girder 3.3 work like a charm
