I'm afraid that's not an easy task. Assume that you can build or buy a similar antenna, you have to completely dismount your lcd in a hazardous operation. In my opinion, it's better to add an usb stick.

Hi Tanveerriaz

I had opened one of those bendable wireless modems antenna operating 2.4 Ghz. What I saw is the simplest method to be used for an antenna. The shield of the coaxial cable cut and removed for one inch . The inner conductor left as the antenna itself. That simple.

You are right. The antenna may be simple to build if it operates on open air (It's a lambda/4 antenne). But if you put it under the LCD, you have to deal with the metal frame which will detune it. And you have to solve how to pass the coax through the LCD hinge.

I would do the following tentative: build a simple antenna as shown, place it somewhere around the keyboard, as far as possible to the metal frame. Don't put it above the hard disk, you may have R/W errors.

The inner conductor may be 10..15% longer. You will try to shorten for finding the best tuning. The
antenna will have to be soldered directly to the Wifi card (it will be hard to find a right connector in quantity 1).

Good luck.

Hi,

Best Way is to Buy Wi-Fi usb Adapter((easy to open)) (Mine is TP Link 25$..)and you can Build Your Own Antenna with (Old satellite Dish for 5$,discard lnb and replace with tomato can with 1 inch copper wire inside((isolated)))after beam some public area,or other...a lot's of plan for less than 40$(materials) is available on google.or you can buy old linksys router wrt54g (with good serial)and put hacked fimware inside,to increase more Mw,and switch this to repeter. (i will try to find my 2 years ago old experiment antenna)
