When I was growing up in Liverpool, we had a large dock system.
it was over 7miles long, and there were no containers all ships cargo
was in boxes, bags, or in bulk, (rice and grain) to load and unload cargo
called for a vast army of men, known as dockers, or in the US. long shoremen
Being a docker was like joining a large family back then, so much so every man
had a nickname. this was a name given by the dockers themselves you did not
pick a name it was given to you.
A few examples was Phil the Pram - as he had many children
The Birdman as he was always asking "have you seen me Owl-man (seen my old man - father)
The Destroyer as he was always after a sub (a advanced payment on wagers before payday)
You can Google the other names - Liverpool Dockers Names

Anyway this young man said to himself "I'm going to keep myself to myself and not say anything
So he was nicknamed 'The Quite Man' after the John Wayne film.
so now we have had a new user who thought it funny to use the name -
covid (he was Muted and is now our own Quite Man)
