Facing an issue after installing MPLABX 5.35..
In the Project properties dialog box the CONF selection show an empty box, so cannot setup simulator-programmer-etc-etc...
Any Idea ?

Did you overwrite an older version?
Some software I find needs a fresh install so I uninstall all other versions and reinstall, also try installing and running as administrator if you haven't already.

Solved, I had to remove 5.35, manually delete : C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\mplab_ide and C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\mplab_ide then reinstall. Well done so.... THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MANUALLY REMOVED TREES....(INSIDE ODD ISSUES....PROBABLY) but that is crazy , because I removed the previous version before install 5.35. I confirm a bug presence,
if you remove a DFP pack and and open a project with a DFP pack that you do not have....even if you reinstall the right DFP....you will be allowed to adjust setting in CONF of PRJ_PROPERTIES anymore...
have to follow the previous post...
Something is oddy anyhow , found same issue after installing plugins !

Discovered the ISSUE (for me):
Installing the PLUGIN - Proteus VSM Viewer Tool - will disappear in Project Properties the possibility to see&set PACKS & Compiler Toolchain selection's list.
A Simple uninstall solve the issue.

I don't know if you haven't noticed yet but MPLABX v5.40 is released... and its suppose it's less buggy than previous version...

5.40 version is very problematic, is 64 bit, but is a BUG, i'm reinstalled 5.35 version

Hello, I have the same problem with the MPLABX v5.40, but I think this looks like java problems with the new version of the MPLABX, for now, I returned to use the MPLABX v5.35 and works good, but also the MPLABX v5.35 had some issues with the java version

V5.45 is ok,
I can confirm the PLUGIN - Proteus VSM Viewer Tool is working in this version.
In case of issues, just uninstall the PLUGIN that are creating issues.
I had to modify this message.
