I need to connect couple LiIon batteries on my project, I am hoping to build some device eg. using a Pb-Acid (car battery) with controlled current and the pulse, or something like, just to do the job.

Has anyone experimented with simple spot-weld, just to weld the Nickel strips in to battery terminals.

How are they control the current and pulse to do the weld?
