[Req] Cell phone jammer jamming detector

Hello everyone,

Most of GSM modules today comes with built in jamming detection, and they can generate an output when it detects it.

But GSM modules are expensive... Is there a way to detect cell phone jammers without using a GSM module ?

Can anyone share a schematic of a cheap jamming detector ?

Hardly expensive at all, they can be had for about $10 all day long from China...  Just go to Ebay and search for 'GSM module'

Just use a phone, when the bars drop you are likely being jammed

Complain about your lack of cell service

But, on a serious note, yeah now what?  It's not like your phone is somehow going to overpower the noisy signal jammer signal as long as they are in close proximity...  If you actually want to locate the jammer you are going to at bare minimum need direction antennas to guide you or else wander around in circles watching power level fluctuations...  Best to get multiple directional detectors so you can triangulate the location of the jammer, but these detectors will also need to be able to differentiate between the jamming signal and legit radio traffic...

Didn't knew about these cheap GSM modules. I'm paying $49 on Telit modules now. Anyway, my goal is to detect a jamming source presence, doesn't matter where it comes from. Once jamming is detected, then activate some kind of vehicle blocker or maybe send a warning message thru a different communication channel, like a satellite phone maybe.

I have a few SIM300CZ modules. but in SIM300's AT Command Set, I didn't found AT#JDR...
