Is it a Fuse, a resistor?

Hello,

I am having a go at repairing a Li-ion battery pack (fitting new cells) and curiosity has me wondering what this part here is, it looks like ceramic with carbon on it like a SMD resistor but has a interesting piece in the center.

Can anyone tell me what this component is?

There is "ZJ" marked on the top, in circuit it measures ~500k (I wasn't planning to remove it to measure more). Is is meant to measure this, is it a blown fuse?

I just searched google, and got a PDF in that the same type material is given.

As the Data,It could be Zener diode. if it shows only like 500k , then it could be damaged.

I never even considered it to be a zener, looking more closely at the circuit it fits too, it's clamping the gate of a FET.

That's my thing learnt for the day!

Does it measure 500k both polarities of your leads?

Listen, it has a marking on one side. So it has a polarity!
Can be a Diode or also a tantalium capacitor. but nothing more .

But I would bet it's a Diode.
