Hi...

MMM......it seems to be horrible, with each upgrade, bugs upgrade too, i say new bugs. Last version goes out to fix the previous upgrade....bad things with CCS....

Be carefull before upgrading this ugly compiler. For people who continue using it (and wasting their time waiting new versions), read this, this may save some of your time:

I exactly agree with the arguments. I am deeply thinking of switching to assembly language nowadays.

No you can simply switch to a  good compiler  Grin

I am currently using 4.038 version and it has several bugs. Sometimes .cof file (during debugging) lists processors header file instead of program source. Optimization generates wrong code (when I call a funtion several times in a subroutine then program executes the function regularly for the first two calling, however, the third one redirects the execution to the middle of the main routine). For the same code default optimization level (5) works fine.

I think CCS v3.249 is the latest stable version that encouraged the CCS team to switch to a new ide, ansi and multi compilation unit support.
