Title: Laminator thermo sensor
Post by: raidera on February 07, 2010, 11:01:07 11:01
Hi guys,
Does anyone know what is the thermal sensor on ordinary А4 paper laminators? It si look like a diode?
Does anyone have a circuit of any A4 paper laminator?

It is 100°C bimetal NC switch.

Hello,

On my laminator, it is a diode like 1N4148.

They use then as thermosensor.

Diode have linear temperature coefficient of about 2.3 mV/°C when a forward voltage is supplied across the junction.

According to datasheet it should work up to 200 degrees celcius and above...

There is an example on : http://www.micro-examples.com/public/microex-navig/doc/098-temperature-sensor.html (http://www.micro-examples.com/public/microex-navig/doc/098-temperature-sensor.html)

Best Regards.

old post yes I know :-)

we are buying battery packs from china the 10k themister looks just like a 1n4148 too :-)
