Title: Raspberry Pi Example Projects Post by: Lestat on November 05, 2012, 09:41:10 21:41 Hi, new to the forum.
Not knowing what I wanted for Christmas and having seen the Raspberry Pi previously I am now getting one for Christmas from my better half. As I didn't really plan on getting it I am unsure what I am going to use it for. Therefore I am wondering what example programs and devices that people have created or are being created using a Raspberry Pi. I know there are a lot of features including graphic interface and Ethernet connections to mention just a couple, and there are some negatives with the computer, in that it doesn't have screw holes to allow it to be easily mounted and the various ports are on different sides of the board. However with it being so small and has a reasonably low price, it is a surprisingly powerful device (at least from my experience of small board computers, which is next to nothing). But any examples that people are creating would give me a good idea just what the Raspberry Pi is capable of. Many thanks Title: Re: Raspberry Pi Example Projects Post by: Magnox on November 06, 2012, 08:01:56 08:01 The new version has mounting holes, plus a few other things fixed. And more memory I think.
This looks a useful addition: http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/tag/gertboard Title: Re: Raspberry Pi Example Projects Post by: pickit2 on November 06, 2012, 01:20:26 13:20 Why not post in topic that will earn you posting credits, your posting in board that don't up your count.

I will have to look into purchasing that in the new year. Pickit2 - I didn't realise that I didn't earn any credits by posting in this forum. Thank you for making me aware.
