Title: [Que]TM4C1294XL or STM32F4
Post by: biomed12 on November 07, 2016, 08:24:19 20:24
Hello dear members,

I need a 32-bit low cost evaluation board. I want to buy an arm architecture to use its widely range support(libraries, examples, low costs..)

As I wrote, which one is more comfortable or better? I observed their datasheets and I decided to buy TI's board. Bacause, its plus is rj45 connector. So, I wont need an extra ethernet module or board.

*I think using the Keil IDE instead of TI's CCS.

Thanks.

It is a more advanced design for TM lot of memory on board. For me CCS works fine (in fact is a modified Eclipse) and I prefer vs Keil.
So I also recomend TI. ST is also a good choice for small projects but the support is somehow less than the TI. I have 2 projects on TM4C1294
with TI CCS and 1 with Eclipse (the first one) and everithing went smoothly with no suprises. I tryed to develop a sensor interface with STM32F4
in Eclipse but I get in trouble with some nested interrupts

Dear bogdantk,

Have you ever had an LCD project with that kit? What do you think about this LCD screen? or Can you recommend another one?

No I did not use a LCD. I only use the kit as a front-end to collect data from sensors and only some  state LEDs
But it seems that it will be difficult to find a better price for a LCD that the one in the link
