Title: NXP datasheets
Post by: Elmer on March 25, 2012, 06:17:29 18:17
Not a funny joke, but a joke nevertheless.

This is a perfect example of how NOT to write datasheets, taking into consideration that someone will actually have to use those data to make CAD components. Especially the formatting of pin functions table :o

Horribly formatted datasheet, great chip.

Having done them, the first purpose of datasheets these days is that it is a sales and procurement contract document. You want design, look at the app note. This isn't me talking, but the MBA pirates that have hijacked the helm of the "SS Engineering".

I agree that NXP DSs are among the worst. I suspect much of it has to do with Dutch/English translation issues, and a lot of it has to do with not over-promising on specs.
