Note	I have been working with pic microcontrollers for several years as a hobby. I design simple measuring devices. I am learning myself by reading books and forums. I want to develop in this direction, starting with more complex projects. I don't know if I will be useful to the forum, but I will certainly learn a lot by participating in the discussions.

Note	Used to program Intel 8085's for a living, using M80/L80 on a 6Mhz (!) Z80 - back in the day when 64K of ram was a BIG deal. Now retired, I want to update my former skills in order to use modern chips.  Very much a hobbyist these days.

The v5.117 release looks like the usual... fix one problem and bury it in a bunch of minor changes. lol From their newsletter:

Recent changes include:
5.117  IDE COMPILER > CLEAN function now deletes .hex files.  .ccspjt files are are NOT deleted
5.117  Improved RTOS error message added when a task is not defined.
5.117  Updated Debugger not showing RAM for parts with more than 64K RAM.
5.117  Fixed the USE RS232 receive_buffer= option when used with over 4K RAM.
5.117  Fixed spi_read() function to properly wait on newer PIC 18 devices when a parameter is passed to it to clock out.
5.117  Updated i2c_slaveaddr() function to update all slave address registers for newer PIC18 devices.

Yes there are open boards (topics) that's why we have requests not to post in open topics, but to use text option.
