Title: PCB design considerations? Post by: walido81 on September 09, 2009, 03:45:54 15:45 Dear Friends,
Nice day for all of you… I'm interested in PCB (printed circuit board) design; actually I'm looking for the following details: -Multi-layer PCB design considerations. --Deferential Paris design consideration and calculation. ---EMI and EMC design considerations. ----Any related information… Please advise any article, book, video and tutorial can help in this field! By the way, does anyone agree to use 'Altium Designer' for small PCB projects? I have been using Eagle for 5 years. Thanks in advance! Title: Re: PCB design considerations? Post by: Wizpic on September 09, 2009, 07:26:43 19:26 I sue Altium all the time and would never use any thing esle, I think it is the best.
EMI and EMC design considerations woudl be double sisded and all the GND connections bottom layer only and non on top, I think if you do a search on here you will find some books about PCB and stuff, also do a search on google about it, There plenty of info out there it takes years of practice, I wll try and try find a bit more info on the subject. I never use the auto router I find manual route is the best This is someting that I found for you some good pointers in there has you can see there is lots to it and to think about To become a professional in PCB one should have Good knowledge on the following points : 1.Drawing Schematics in different tools/pkgs (ALtium,PADS, Allegro,..etc) 2.Understanding the errors and procedure of rectifications 3.Board Details understanding 4.Datasheet understanding for footprint creation 5.Footprint Creation 6.Assigning Footprints and linking to the board layout 7.generating Netlist,BOM for different tools 8.General guidelines of layout 9.Placement of Analog ,digital and Mixed signals 10.Pre simulation 11.Adding comstraints for signals 12.Routing techniques 13.Differential and Impedance control 14.stackup upto min 6layers 15.post simulation ( hyperlynx) 16.micro strip and strip line 17.PCI CARD, MOTHER card boards 18.Generation of gerber 19.Verfication Using CAM or Gc prevue or similar to these 20.knowledge on generated files 21.manufacture process 22.Cost of Routing 23.Assembly process 24.Reflow and wave solder 25.Application of the board (used in Land or Air or water) 26.Checklists for Footprint creation,Inputs to pcb designer ,schematic, final pcb ,gerber and documents once you have good knowledge on the above all ,try to get IPC Designer Certification - CID |
