can you just explain wht is the difference between G0 and G2 file they look kinda the same

and i am going to get gerbview to see what it can do, seen it but not used it

G0 G2 one of those is bottom overlay and the other one is the drill file is my guess

Well yes or no I got them to work partly. The aperture values was 10 times to big. But using the unit tenths(1/10000 inch) all worked perfectly. The drl file has also the same problem. Everything is then times bigger than it should

I was going to order one of the Red - Eagle boards. On ebay some come with a CD. Does anyone know which program is on this cd?

Add: I can answer my own question. I received my board its the red one suggested above, it is compact and well built. The dvd that came in the box has a 2018 version of USB Mach3 which I assume has a fixed license. There are a bunch other files that are in Chinese.

If you find the Gerber file for this design. You could try reverse engineer using this method.

The Gerber file can be downloaded from Elektor. But that requires paid membership (Green or Gold) I am working recreating the schematics. I am almost done with amp part

Which is the better controller out of the 2 shown on here ?
Or any recommended descent usb controller that does not have to convert to parallel port (has these don’t exist anymore)
Also I know you really or possible to say which is the better software out of these  two, I know Mach 3 is really good but it’s so old now and not moved forward in years.
I’ve seen Mach4 but not seen a cracked version may be I can try the demo of it and would have to look into which controller is supported

 have a look at this vid, this board will work with both Mach 3 and DrufelCNCx64 software. can be had for as little as £15 - you do need motor drivers . you can use the ones you have. but again you can get them cheap.

As to the Software I think DrufelCNCx64 is easier to use than Mach3.

I am in the field of electronics and programming for more than 30 years. I started by freelance repairing electronic circuits then switched to PIC Micro controller programming. Still doing repair and programming but most of the time spends in programming. I consider it as a joyful (even though some times painful) creative work rather than a job. The new version v5.117 is now available, for those of us who had problems with the SPI of the new PIC18... it seems that this version will solve it!
