Title: Recommendations for a West Coast SMT contract assembler?
Post by: solutions on November 12, 2009, 05:35:11 05:35
Anyone know of a reasonably priced contract assembler on the US West Coast that can build 10 of my SMT prototypes for me?

This is coming out of my own pocket, so looking for cheap, but not to the point of making me troubleshoot their assembly issues for weeks on end.  A buck a part seems steep to me, which is what I have quoted to me so far.

thanks

Yeah a buck a part does sound expensive, though it depends on a number of issues, i.e. if they have included origination charges such as paste screens, pick & place machine setup charges, fine pitch components, etc etc.

If I was less than 10 timezones and 1 hemisphere away I may have been able to assist  :D
