Title: my thoughts on warnings Post by: pickit2 on July 07, 2009, 02:25:01 02:25 well I see a lot of people not the reading rules, and a mod will warn users that don't follow rules, with a warning that lasts 3 days. problem is the user only visits us every 7 days or so, they don't take notice of warning. so now I will now warn user for 45 days so it will not go unmissed they are on a warning. as I see they repeat breaking the rules time after time.
now I ask you, if you see a post that is breaking the rules ie: thank you post or flame post.. Then Please report using report button. you can add your thorghts to this topic this is a rant post so maybe deleted soon. Title: Re: my thoughts on warnings Post by: oldvan on July 07, 2009, 04:48:25 04:48 I appreciate the fact tha things here are moderated and chaos kept out.
I've seen too many things ruined by rampant flame wars, etc. Longer warnings will not be missed by infrequent users, so seems like a good idea. --- Sheesh, I must be dyslexic or something, just whacked the WARN button for a post that was July 2006, my tired eyes said it was a 2009 post. I guess I am the guy in the old poem: Directions to the Armorer by Elder Olsen All right, armorer, Make me a sword- Not too sharp, A bit hard to draw, And of cardboard, preferably. On second thought, stick An eraser on the handle. Somehow I always Clobber the wrong guy. Make me a shield with Easy-to-change Insignia. I'm often A little vague As to which side I'm on, What battle I'm in. And listen, make it A trifle flimsy, Not too hard to pierce. I'm not absolutely sure I want to win. Make the armor itself As tough as possible, But on a reverse Principle: don't Worry about its Saving my hide; Just fix it to give me Some sort of protection- Any sort of protection- From a possible enemy Inside. |
