Title: Re: 1,5v 3v dc-dc (white led driver) Post by: Parmin on June 21, 2008, 01:28:16 01:28 I have been using this circuit from ELM at http://elm-chan.org (http://elm-chan.org)
The great thing is it is self regulating so you could use up to 3 LED in series and it still works great. I wound the transformer on little bobbin toroid. Title: Re: 1,5v 3v dc-dc (white led driver) Post by: hodahel on June 21, 2008, 04:32:55 04:32 quite interesting...i think same circuit to charge a cellphone using a single 1.5 battery?
Title: Re: 1,5v 3v dc-dc (white led driver) Post by: pasanlaksiri on June 21, 2008, 10:00:21 22:00 Its actually super bright. I just make it.

you are right. It is the circuit for charging the cellphone batteries. Except the coil; is standart 100uH quarter watt resistor package. Brightness might be becouse of the roll coil used here. Regards. Title: Re: 1,5v 3v dc-dc (white led driver) Post by: hodahel on July 12, 2008, 03:56:58 03:56 hmmmm...how can we boost it to about 5VDC?
Title: Re: 1,5v 3v dc-dc (white led driver) Post by: Parmin on July 14, 2008, 12:10:55 00:10 its already more than 5v, because to charge cell phone you need at least 5V.
OTOH, you may not get lots of current on these arrangements, so it takes either a hell lot of time or just barely enough to trickle charge. |
