WoW, Can it fly to the air?

It's a toy/fake helicopter by some nut who wants publicity. Anyone who knows anything about rotary wing aircraft can see that. Helicopters are sophisticated pieces of machinery and are not cobbled together from junk.

"You start it, allow it to run for a minute or two and you then shift the accelerator forward and the propeller on top begins to spin. The further you shift the accelerator the faster it goes and once you reach 300 RPM you press the joystick and it takes off,"

He revs up the engine, throws the collective pitch and the mechanical abomination jumps off the ground a few feet.

Anyone care to point out where the anti-torque rotor is? He has a red marker light on top of the cabin but no tail rotor.

No... I believe if some hard working individual (particularly rising from an underdeveloped country
and more than likely a broken family) has the fortitude and determination to make an aircraft or
spaceship from whatever they may find laying around the neighborhood, Coka-cola cans, Pepsi
cans,the odd Volkswagen or Delorian etc...The end product simply must fly!

Didn't your mother say "Anything will fly if enough effort and determination are thrown into the project"

For goodness sake even pigs have been known to take flight!...If your not sure about this fact, just
ask any politician or lawyer, they also have another saying "throw enough bullshit at anything and it will fly"

Oh yes , these Girocopters can fly for shure.
Bute there is a BIG difference between a Girocopter and an Helicopter.

Girocopters need to be in motion ( translational speed ) to generate the lift that maintains them in the air. Simililar as what Helicopters do as an amergency maneuver called Autorotation when power is lost.
Therefore , Girocopters are very safe machines to fly

Absolutely true. In non-technical terms an autogyro looks like a helicopter but isn't. Not even close.

Wrong, very wrong. Autogyros have a number of inherent nasty behaviors that can have you dead in a heartbeat.

Can you imagine how anxious you should be for first test in the air. I got a friend who built a simple plane, and he really got some pressure during first take-off, knowing a plane can fly better, than an helicopter, than a stone...

Looks like there is a tail rotor but the whole thing looks pretty deadly
