10 Amps at 50 Volts gives you 500 Watts. Assuming a conversion efficiency of 75% (pretty good) you will be drawing about 700 W from the mains.

Generally, people who are competent enough to construct such a power supply successfully will not need to ask around to know how it is to be done.

I would advise you to start small, like the supply in that project, and then work your way up.
