Title: dc motor control via l298n using pic16f84
Post by: mikeville on February 05, 2006, 10:06:50 10:06
hi
am trying to control two dc motors with a pic16f84a
anybody know how many outputs(minimum) i have to connect to the l298n in order for them to work bacuse l298n has an enable pin,an input ,output and also a sensing.know anyweher i could get a reference diagram or anything regarding this topic
thanks
mike

i have worked some on motor control with MPLAB C18 and PIC18F452.

Here i attached 2 design example including source code and ISIS simulation schematics.

Actually these files were preliminary works of my senior projects which i was trying to develop a simulation interface for PID control.

I suggest you look to the Microchip App notes for motor control. Also examine the Masters papers for general knowledge of motor control theory...

also try this links;

http://www.learn-c.com/experiment7.htm

If you kindly be more specific about:

-   Do you aim controlling speed only, or speed and direction?
-   Have you general specification about your project i.e. DC current, Electronic Breaks…etc).

Those are important factors controlling minimal circuit used ….
