Title: [REQ] Power line comunication with pic
Post by: peppeviruz on June 23, 2010, 10:24:20 10:24
hi all, there is somebody who has some simple circuis about comunication over power line (110/200Vas 50/60hz) using microcontrollers, my idea is to turn on/off some devices attached to the power line in my home with a master and some slave microcontrollers. I need circuits, if there is something similiar to build.
bye!

well, and I found a pdf that show schematics, circuits and all specifications of X10 protocol, and right now working on a mikrobasic project to send/receive commands and check status of devices (if turned on and returned off after a while, with a blinking led on master device, for example), for now is only an idea ;)
btw I can send and receive at 125khz on a 50/60 hz line, not at 120khz like suggested the protocol, but with interrupts, is difficult to reach exactly 120khz at different kind of xtal, (maybe have to use the PWM instead.....) and if someone wants to partecipate, all codes to share will be appreciate (mikrobasic or proton basic also, if they have some great differences!)
bye!

here the pdf.
