Title: Does anyone know the status of coprolite.com? Post by: Sailor on April 28, 2015, 04:37:05 04:37 I saved some files (8048 disassembler) from this site about 9-10 months ago, and now I would like to follow some of their links. I've been trying for the last week or so, but ... 'Server not found'

@pickit2 How do you find out that sort of info? @Checksum8 Good stuff! I have been vaguely aware of web.archive.org, but I have never spent the time to figure out how to drive it (dead simple, but I guess I'd thought that it was going to be another afternoon's work that I would immediately forget because I wouldn't use it for another year or two :) ). Not only did I recover a couple of files from the archived coprolite site, but by going back to a comparable-time archive of another web site that had been referenced , I was able to find another file that currently is no longer available. Honestly, I hadn't expected any useful responses at all. What a great community ;D |
