Title: [REQ] OpenBench Logic Sniffer Board Files
Post by: GeneralMadDog on October 12, 2014, 04:33:35 16:33
Hi fellows,

can anyone give me the board files (Eagle) for the "OpenBench Logic Sniffer" (or SUMP Logic Analyzer or Papilio somewhat, ...) or however the real name of this thing is.

The board is shown here:http://www.gadgetfactory.net/logic-sniffer-2/ (http://www.gadgetfactory.net/logic-sniffer-2/)

I can't download anything from this "gadgetforge.gadgetfactory.net" page.

Maybe somebody has already downloaded these files.

Regards
MadDog

try
http://gadgetfactory.net/logicsniffer/index.php?n=LogicSniffer.Download

There has been no support for this for a few years...

Just for information :

The Saanlima Pipistrello priced at $155 is an FPGA development board with many on-board peripherals and pin headers compatible with the Papilio series of boards. It has USB connectivity to a host PC, and, by adding the Saanlima buffer wing, can be used as a replacement for the Openbench Logic Sniffer (OLS).
The FPGA firmware for the OLS has been ported for the Pipistrello, and can thus use the full 64MiB memory to store samples. It also has triggers on rising/falling edges as an extra feature.

All details of this including design files are available at
http://pipistrello.saanlima.com/index.php?title=Welcome_to_Pipistrello

It is available for sale at
http://saanlima.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51

At $155 it is not within my reach at the moment and I am happy with the original OLS.

Best regards.

@pickit2:

I know this download site. But unfortunately it's just software, no board files.

This client software is maintained!
http://www.lxtreme.nl/ols/ (http://www.lxtreme.nl/ols/)
http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57 (http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57)

It's like an open source USBee! Very useful e.g. for bus analysis (SPI, IIC, CAN, ...)

I bought a board for about 50€, but I want to build some more by myself.

@micropcb:

Nice! But to oversized for my requirements

I know. But still no file of the board layout for PCB production.  ;)
