Power your inventions, equipments, or even your home with renewable energy from the sun,
wind, water, soil, and air  Cool

I would like to encourage my fellow Sonsivrians to participate in exploring renewable or alternative energy.
Share your projects/experiments, ebooks/plans, or your experience on renewable or alternative energy.
Taking care our planet is everybody's business.  So let's go GREEN.

Build Your Own Fuel Cells
Phillip Hurley | no ISBN | PDF |329 pages | 4.9 MB | English

The technology of the future is here today - and now available to the non-engineer! The e-book * Build Your Own
Fuel Cells contains complete, easy to understand illustrated instructions for building several types of proton
exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells -- and, printable templates for six PEM fuel cell types, including convection
fuel cells and oxygen-hydrogen fuel cells, in both single slice and stacks. Low tech / high quality Two different
low-tech fuel cell construction methods are covered: one requires a bandsaw and drill press, and the other only a
few hand tools. Anyone with minimum skills and tools will be able to produce high quality fuel cells from readily
obtainable materials.

Build a Solar Hydrogen Fuell Cell
Phillip Hurley | no ISBN | PDF |265 pages | 3 MB | English

Learn how to construct and operate the components of a solar hydrogen fuel cell system: the fuel cell stack, the
electrolyzer to generate hydrogen fuel, simple hydrogen storage, and solar panels designed specifically to run
electrolyzers for hydrogen production. Complete, clear, illustrated instructions to build all the major components
make it easy for the non-engineer to understand and work with this important new technology.
Featured are the author's innovative and practical designs for efficient solar powered hydrogen production
including:
- ESPMs (Electrolyzer Specific Photovoltaic Modules) – 40 watt solar panels designed specifically to run
  electrolyzers efficiently.
- 40-80 watt electrolyzer for intermittant power from renewable energy sources such as solar and wind.
- 6-12 watt planar hydrogen fuel cell stack to generate electricity.

Hugh Piggot, Wind Power Workshop
160 pages | Scanned PDF | 2001 | English | ISBN: 1898049203 | 31 Mb

I built 2.4m Windmill with axial flux alternator using his newer plan. It generates a decent 100 W output on
average, enough to supplement my PV Cells on cloudy/rainy days. I'll scan the plan an post it here.

Fuel Cell Technology Handbook
ISBN: 0849308771 | Gregor Hoogers CRC Publisher | 1st Ed 2002 | 368 pages | PDF | 9.4 MB

The Fuell Cell Technology Handbook provides the first comprehensive treatment of both the technical and comercial
aspects of high and low temperature fuel cells, fuel cell systems, fuel cell catalysis, and fuel generation. It sets
forth the principle of fuel cell technology and summarizes the main concepts, developments, and remaining technical
problems, particularly in fueling. It explores applications in automotive, stationary, and portable power generation
technologies and presents an expert's look at future developments in both the technologies and its applications.

Wind Energy Handbook
Tony Burton, David Sharpe, Nick Jenkins and Ervin Bossanyi, «Wind Energy Handbook»
John Wiley & Sons | ISBN 0471489972 | 2001-11-15 | PDF | 642 Pages | 4,7 Mb

As environmental concerns have focused attention on the generation of electricity from clean and renewable sources
wind energy has become the world's fastest growing energy source. The Wind Energy Handbook draws on the authors'
collective industrial and academic experience to highlight the interdisciplinary nature of wind energy research and
provide a comprehensive treatment of wind energy for electricity generation. Features include: An authoritative
overview of wind turbine technology and wind farm design and development In-depth examination of the aerodynamics
and performance of land-based horizontal axis wind turbines A survey of alternative machine architectures and an
introduction to the design of the key components.

Understanding Renewable Energy Systems
Volker Quaschning | Earthscan Publications | ISBN 1844071286 | 2005 | PDF | 192 pages | 4.04 MB

Provides technical details on different renewable energy systems plus background information on climate change and
related economics. Contains free CD-ROM, including simulation software and figures from the book. Ideal as a student
text, including worked examples. Beginning with an overview of renewables (including biomass, hydroelectricity,
geothermal, tidal, wind, and solar power) this book explores the fundamentals of various renewable energy systems.
The main focus is on technologies with high development potential such as solar thermal systems, photovoltaics, and
wind power. This text not only describes technological aspects but also deals consciously with problems of the energy
industry. In this way, the topics are treated in a holistic manner, enabling readers to gain a broad understanding
of renewable energy technology and its potential.

Hello  to all!
Really a Great Things to contribute in our Mother Earth Wink
We have to use the alternative fuel like water(H2O) for example for cars.
Plans is already OPEN SOURCE, and you can do it also!

The e-book links you have posted for Build Your Own Fuel Cells and Build a Solar Hydrogen System by Phillip Hurley are for pirated files of our copyrighted material. Phillip Hurley is my husband, and we rely on the sale of these e-books to put bread on our table, and fund further original research. The e-books and information in them are NOT open-source, the components are our original designs. It is our purpose to make the technology easy to understand and encourage people everywhere to work with it and develop it, and we keep the price of the e-books as low as we can so that people can afford them. All our research is funded solely by the sale of the e-books, so when you post links to illegal files as you have, you are not helping save the planet at all. You are seriously hurting our ability to make a living and continue to do original research that does not rely on corporations or governments.

A good source for renewable energy projects is 'Home Power Magazine' .  Their home page is
http://homepower.com
They offer a free sample issue as well as several articles to download for free.
