Dear Friend
I wonder if anybody body knows pic series uC with dual usart. I am working on school project with two diffirent external peripharels. They have usart bus and I can only communicate via USART bus to them. I couldn't find any pic series uC wiht dual usart. If it is not existing please advice me another solution. I don't want to use double uC because of complexity. Thaks for your kind help.
Regards,
Ahmet

You can use AVR or 8051 series, they have dual uart.
AVR ATMega162 (8051 pin compatible), ATMega64, ATMega128
Maxim-51 DS89C420, 430, 440, 450
Winbond-51 W77E58
You can easily create two more full-duplex interrupt driven software uart on AVR series, so with mega162 you can have four uarts, thanks to the high speed architecture of the avr and the powerful peripheral sets.
If you want I can send you the avr soft uart code.

PIC18F6XXX, PIC18F8XXX, dsPIC30F3011, dsPIC30F3013, dsPIC30F3014, dsPIC30F4011, dsPIC30F4013 etc.
Try to go to Mchp pages, search "by parameters" and select "2xAUSART", "2xEUSART" or "USART: 2"(dsPIC)
