Title: My PicKit2 just threw a nutty Post by: towlerg on September 13, 2017, 11:03:53 11:03 For no apparent reason (I don't run any uChip software apart from the assembler) on launch my PicKit2 announced that it had to upgrade to version 4.something and promptly bricked itself. I had to reload it manually. Thanks a bunch uChip.

I have a home-built clone, with russian firmware to emulate an AVR programmer. The recovery mode is activated, If i recall correct, by pushing the button and then connecting the USB. The standalone programmer app should be able to load a new OS. Yours PK2 is a Clone?
